Rites today for Sinnott

Services were scheduled for this morning for James T. Sinnott, 73, who died at 8 p.m. Friday at his home at 305 Third Ave. E.

The Rev. Raymond Schwank officiated at the 10 a.m. service, held at St. Mary's Church. Burial was to be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Georgetown. The Rosary was recited Sunday night at the Humeston Funeral Home.

Sinnott was born Nov. 20, 1899, the son of William and Mary Dougherty Sinnott. He married Edna McGrath on Jan. 2, 1924. She survives.

Sinnott was a retired farmer, He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Surviving are two sons, Jimmy and Ed, both of Albia; one daughter, Mrs. Ed Kelleher of Albia; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Steve and William of Georgetown, and Joe of Ottumwa; and three sisters, Mrs. M. T. Bates of Des Moines, Mrs. Walter McDonald of Ottumwa, and Mrs. Pat Judge of Georgetown.

He was preceded in death by one son and one brother.

CARD OF THANKS

We wish to egress our sincere thanks to our friends, neighbors and relatives for their sympathy to us during the loss off our loved one. A special thanks to the ladies of the church who served the noon meal. Also a special thanks to Father Schwank and Father Donohue, Humeston's, Dr. Orelup and the nurses at the hospital and Patty Hagerman, who were all so good to our husband and father. And for the many flowers, cards, food and masses. Yuri kindness to our family will long be remembered.
