Services Friday at Melrose For John P. Hannam, 84

John P. Hannam, prominent Monroe county farmer, died Wednesday at his home southwest of Melrose.

Mr. Hannam was 84 years old.

He was for many years active in community affairs and was a leader in the Democratic party.

Solemn requiem mass will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's church, Melrose, conducted by the Rev. R. J. McGrath, the Rev. Harry Ryan and the Rev. H. B. Geers. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery.

Mr. Hannam was born Sept. 13, 1868, in Ontario, Canada, and came to Monroe county the following year.

Survivors are five sons, Art, James, Mortimer and Ed Hannam, all of Melrose, and Albert Hannam of Milwaukee, Wis.; a sister, Mrs. W. A. McEniry of Melrose; two brothers, R. F. Hannam of Melrose and Mortimer Hannam of Minneapolis, Minn.; 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

His wife, three daughters, a son, three brothers and three sisters preceded Mr. Hannam in death.
