We are sorry to announce the sudden death of Miss Marry Barron, one of the west ends popular young women. She was in the very best of health up to the hour of her death but was stricken down instantly presumably by heart trouble. She leaves a host of friends in and around Weller to mourn her untimely death. The funeral took place from the Catholic church at Weller Thursday of last week.

Elm Grove Gossip - DELAYED

One day last week Mr. Barrows folks were getting ready to go to town and their daughter Miss Mary went to get ready to go. When they were ready to go they called to her to come but receiving no answer they went up stairs and found her lying on the floor dead.

Miss Barron was one of the loveliest young ladies we ever met, she was one of Monroe Co.'s best teachers, and to know her was to love. Her remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery at Weller beside her father who was buried there some years ago.

NOTE: Mary Barron (1874 - 1900) daughter of Catherine (Ryan) Barron (1849-1925) and James Barron (1840 - 1892)
