Mary A. (Swede) Judge, 92, of albia, died Thursday, Sept. 2, 1999, at Monroe Care Center in Albia. Funeral services were held 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Georgetown, Rev. Scott Lemaster officiating. Burial was in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Georgetown.

She was born Oct. 25, 1906 in Georgetown, to William and Mary Dougherty Smith. She married Patrick (Pat) Judge on Sept. 15, 1936 at Georgetown. She was a homemaker and had farmed with her husband for 65 years. She graduated from St. Patrick's High School in Georgetown. She was a member of St. Patrick's Alter and Rosary.

She is survived by her husband and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Patrick; five brothers, Hubert, James, Steven, William and Joseph Sinnott; and two sisters, Margaret Bates and Catherine McDonald.

Memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Cemetery.

Winfield Funeral Home in Albia was in charge of arrangements.
