Theodore Henderson, 91, of Albia, died Friday, Sept. 3, 1999, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center. Funeral services were 10:30 a.m., Monday, Sept.. 6, 1999, at Winfield Funeral home in Albia, Rev. Lynda Carlson officiating. Burial was in Oak View Cemetery in Albia.

He was born Nov. 11 1907, in Mantua Township in Monroe County to Robert and Mary Clarissa Parry Henderson. He married Elsie Ruttan on May 18, 1932 in Unionville, Mo. She died April 30, 1992. He graduated from Avery School and had worked as a coal miner before going into farming which he did most of his life. He was a member of First Christian Church in Albia.

He is survived by two sons, Ronald Henderson of Ottumwa and Ted Henderson Jr., of Wausau, Wisc.; one daughter, Janice Moore of Melrose; nine grqandchildren; 10 great-grandchildre; and one brother, William, Henderson of Albia.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers and one sister.

Memorials may be made to Wapello County Hospice or First Christian Church in Albia.

Winfield Funeral Home in Albia was in charge of arrangements.
