ALBIA — Mary Belle Jordan, age 89, of Albia, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, at the Monroe Care Center in Albia, Iowa.

Mary was born on April 22, 1918 in Monroe County, Iowa to William and Jamima (Ovens) Kline. Mary married Eugene “Jiggs” Dwight Jordan on Feb. 14, 1942, in Unionville, Mo.Eugene died Feb. 2, 1996.

Mary was a homemaker, and worked various jobs in Albia, retiring from Chamberlain Manufacturing. Mary was also a former member of the Open Bible Church in Albia. Mary loved and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and dogs.

Mary is survived by one daughter, Donna and husband, Warren Woollums of Albia; her three grandchildren, Eugene Woollums of Pella, Iowa, Kimberly and husband, Randy Gatlin of Oskaloosa, Kristine and husband, Rodney McGlothlen of Oskaloosa, Iowa; five great grandchildren, Ryan and Kayla Gatlin, Levi and Lucas Woollums and Sydney McGlothlen.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; William and Jamima Kline, her husband, Eugene (Jiggs) Jordan; one sister, Maria Powers; and seven brothers, Erby, Elmer, Lyle, Harley William, George and Roy.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at the Winfield Funeral Home in Albia, with Pastor Paul Hughes officiating. Burial will follow services at Oak View Cemetery in Albia.Visitation will begin Sunday at 12 noon, at the Winfield Funeral Home.

Mary’s family will be present Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. and also from 5-7 p.m. Sunday evening.Memorials may be given to Hospice of Central Iowa or to the Monroe Care Center of Albia.
