HANCOCKPARTRIDGE

Daniel Hancock of SC received 160A, Bounty Land Grant dated 3 Oct 1856, located in Monona Co. He in turn reassigned to Lewis H. Partridge 31 Dec 1856. Paperwork, I have states, "for value received." I cannot locate Partridge in any Census for IA. Is there someone who would check the Courthouse records for any clues -- another Land Grant for Daniel Hancock and/or did gov't pay him for same? Did Lewis Patridge sell land and to whom? Daniel Hancock remained and died in SC. Will pay cost involved for any help or copies of Deeds, etc. and any help most appreciated.
