Whiting Station

OWENS

According to my ancestors service records he was supposed to be in Whiting Station, in 1874-1875. I am trying to figure why he would be there when I have found him in Nebraska Cass County in the 1860's federal census. What might be going on that would take him to Monona County, Iowa. His name is Thomas Smith Oweens and he was born in Pulaski County, KY in 1832. Thanks for any ideas you might have on this. Inez
