Rev. William J Gardner

I am trying to find a marriage cert for Rev.William J Gardner and his wife Susannah Smith. I have very little information on them. The 1870 census places them in Monona County in the township of Maple with their oldest daughter Myrtle. The daughters name was transcribed as Mystle.
Rev. Gardner and Susannah Smith were married on 14 March 1868 I am assuming also in Monona County. He was a circuit rider for the Methodist Episcopal Church for over 15 years. He lived in Iowa from the time he was discharged from the military in 1865 until his position with his church brought him to Oregon 1888. Thank you for any help
