Mrs. Perry McJunkin.

Myrtle Emma Butcher was born September 1, 1890 to William and Ann Howell Butcher and passed away October 24, 1983, in the Marian Health Center, Sioux City, after a long illness. She had reached the age of 93, 1 month and 22 days.

On October 15, 1913 she married Perry W. McJunkin of Onawa. They were the parents of two daughters.

Before moving to Sioux City in 1937, Myrtle clerked in Fords Apparel Store for a number of years. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Onawa, a Past Noble Grand in the Rebekah Lodge No. 222 of Onawa.

After moving to Sioux City she joined the Grace United Methodist Church and was a member of the Moose Auxiliary. Myrtle was well liked by all that knew her. She was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand when needed.

The funeral services were held Friday, October 28, at 1 p.m. from the Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Dr. Robert Robinson Pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial was in the Onawa Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Bernard (Helen) Peterson of Rio Rancho, N.M., and Mrs. John (Pauline) Brower of Browns Lake, Salix, Iowa, three grandchildren, Larry Brower, Karen and Russell Peterson, three great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Mable Shaffer of Onawa, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
