Obituary from the Onawa Democrat: Mrs. Chas. O'Connor died at Oelwien, Ia., Tuesday evening. Word has reached the Democrat of the death of Mrs. Chas. O'Connor who passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Chester Fors at Oelwein, Iowa on Tuesday evening January 30, 1940 at the age of 75 years. Mrs. O'Connor is an old pioneer of this vicinity and was dearly loved by many. Funeral services will be held from the First Methodist church on Friday afternoon at 2:00 and burial will be made in the Onawa cemetery. Her husband passed away in February 1939. She is survived by P. Perry of Walteria, California, Mrs. Ralph Jones of Onawa, and Mrs. Chester Fors of Oelwein, Iowa. A complete obituary will be printed next week.
