18 December 2024Wade Alan Kalskett, 46, of Onawa, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at his residence.
A funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the Bethesda Lutheran Church in Moorhead, Iowa, with Pastor Chip Borgstadt and Vicar Russell Stanislav, officiating. A recording of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Wade’s obituary. Burial will follow in the Spring Valley Cemetery, Moorhead, Iowa. A visitation will be 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Friday, December 13, 2024, with a 7:00 P.M. prayer service at the Bethesda Lutheran Church, Moorhead, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.
Wade Alan was born November 24, 1978, in Denison, Iowa, the son of Gary and Diane (Marik) Kalskett. He was baptized and confirmed at the Bethesda Lutheran Church. Wade grew up in Moorhead and graduated from East Monona with the class of 1997. He started working at Casino Omaha in Onawa, Iowa and it later became Blackbird Bend Casino. Wade continued his education at Western Iowa Tech Community College and graduated with an accounting degree. He started at Sam’s Club in 2011 and was currently managing the tire department.
He enjoyed watching football and movies on T.V. Wade loved his family very much and enjoyed watching his boys play sports. He was an avid Atlanta Falcons, Michigan Wolverines, and Iowa Hawkeyes fan.
Wade was a member of the Bethesda Lutheran Church, Moorhead, Iowa.
Survivors include his father, Gary Kalskett of Soldier, Iowa; two twin sons, Sendeska Kalskett of Onawa, Iowa, and Megaeska Kalskett of Onawa, Iowa; sister, Mary (Josh) Mauch of Council Bluffs, Iowa; nieces and nephew, Autumn Mauch and twins, Jordyn and Dan Mauch; and many aunts and uncles, cousins, and good friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother; Diane Kalskett; paternal grandparents, Jim and Elsie (Moltsau) Kalskett; and maternal grandparents, Edward and Ruby (Thoreson) Marik.
