DANBURY, Iowa - Walter Henry Otto, 91, of Danbury, died July 27 at the Mapleton Nursing Home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. July 29 in St. Peter United Church of Christ at Mapleton. The Rev. Homer Perry will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Danbury with the Walter Funeral Home of Mapleton in charge.

Mr. Otto was born Feb. 23, 1883, in Clinton County. The family moved to the Danbury community when he was a young boy. He married Katherine Treiber Feb. 18, 1907, at Danbury. Mrs. Otto died in 1941. He married Frieda Mohr in June 1950 in Mapleton. Mrs. Otto died in 1958.

He farmed in the Danbury-Mapleton area until retiring in 1950. Mr. Oto had been president of the Farmer's Mutual and Farmer's Casualty insurance companies in Danbury. He was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ and past school director of Cooper Township rural school.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Glenn (Minnie) Uhl of Sioux City; two sons, Lawrence and Earl, both of Mapleton; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Clarence of Holstein.
