MAPLETON, Iowa-- Mrs. Earl Loney, 80, of Mapleton, died March 7 at a nursing home here after long illness. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. March 11 in the Walter Funeral Home. The Rev. Walter Enstrom will officiate. Burial will be in a cemetery at Danbury.

Mrs. Loney, the former Marie Cheryl Cord, was born May 28, 1893 at Danbury. She was married Jan. 1, 1916 at Charles City. She attended Iowa State University. The couple resided at Osage until 1936 and then moved to Danbury. In 1940 they moved to Reseda, Calif., and returned to Mapleton in 1973. Mr. Loney died in December of 1973.

She was a member of the Danbury United Methodist Church. She was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star at Danbury.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Arnold (Marian) Lenoch of Oto; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
