Cheryl Lynn was born on March 27, 1966, in Onawa, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur Jr. and Sharen (Scott) Haynes. She attended school at West Monona.
She enjoyed working with people which led her to work at Elmwood Care Centre, Crossroads, and Denison Job Corps Center where she had been working for the past seven years.
Cheryl enjoyed hunting for mushrooms, taking pictures of blooming flowers, and restoring and reupholstering old furniture. She was a wicked creative diva that enjoyed repurposed furniture.
Everyone who knew Cheryl knew that she was ornery. She marched to the beat of her own drum and had an infectious way about her. You definitely wanted to stay on her good side, because she was not afraid of having an opinion. This was one of the best qualities about her. Cheryl enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her two grandsons.
Survivors include her mother, Sharen Haynes of Onawa, Iowa; two sons, Dustin Haynes of Onawa, Iowa, and Dylan Fouts of Onawa, Iowa; grandsons, Noah Haynes of Onawa, Iowa, and Zthan Gaulazzi of Onawa, Iowa; sister, Jolene (Tim Madsen) Martindale of Turin, Iowa; two nieces, Krista (Brian Langel) Bouslaugh of Le Mars, Iowa, and Ashley Haynes of Onawa, Iowa; two nephews, Brad (Erin) Bouslaugh of Ankeny, Iowa, and Bryan (Heather Gibson) Bouslaugh of Soldier, Iowa; three great-nephews, Rayen Langel, Lenex Langel, and Brycen Bouslaugh; four great-nieces, Madison Haynes, Makayla Haynes, Clara Bouslaugh, and Ava Bouslaugh; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Jr. Haynes; brother, Timothy Haynes; paternal grandparents, Arthur and Emma Jane (Hollingsworth) Haynes; and maternal grandparents Lawrence and Maybell (Shepperson) Scott.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Cheryl’s memory may be made to Sharen Haynes and mailed to P.O. Box 213, Soldier, Iowa, 51572.
