Sharon (Uhl) Mesker

Las Vegas, formerly Whiting, Iowa

Sharon (Uhl) Mesker, formerly of Whiting, Iowa, passed away March 9, 2023 in Las Vegas.

She was born on Dec. 9, 1941 near Climbing Hill and attended schools at Grant Center, Hornick, Whiting, and graduated from Central High School in Omaha. In the early 1960's, Sharon and her family moved to California where they lived most of their life near Los Angeles before moving to Las Vegas. Sharon disliked the cold Iowa winters but loved the beaches and ocean water and only visited family in Iowa during the warmer summer months. Besides her husband and three children, she loved dogs and raised many throughout her life. She enjoyed spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. While living in Las Vegas, she loved line dancing to country western music.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Dave; daughter, Shelly Munford of Bend, Ore.; son, Randy Munford (Kay) of Cary, N.C.; sister, Glennis Schneider of Santa Clarita, Calif. and Terry Uhl (Devera) of Omaha, Neb. as well as 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Evelyn and Melvin Uhl; son, Kelly Munford; sister, Sindia (Cindy) Gilbert; and brother, Ron Uhl.

A private service was held by the family in Las Vegas.
