Dewey Eugene Clark, 86, Rodney, Iowa, died August 10, 1983, at Elmwood Nursing Home, Onawa, Iowa, after a long illness.

He was born March 6, 1898, at Smithland, Iowa, to Willard Clark and Lavina Berry Clark. On September 3, 1919 he was united in marriage to Ada Belle Seitzinger. She died September 18, 1979. They farmed near Hornick and Smithland until retiring and moving to Rodney.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church at Smithland.

Survivors include: three sons, Eugene of Ontario, California, Duane of Smithland, Iowa, and Ronald from Jenks, Oklahoma; one brother, Irvin from
Eureka, California; also eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one daughter, three brothers, four sisters, and two grandsons.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 9, 1983, at the Willman Funeral Chapel, Rodney, Iowa, with Rev. Gary DeGeest officiating. The organist was Mrs. Ellen Harbeck.

Casketbearers were James Davis, David Mann, Max Smith, Leonard Vaught, Joe Fleck, and Gail Blakely.

Interment was in the Little Sioux Township Cemetery, Smithland, Iowa.
