ALVIN M. (Manny) HYATT

Alvin M. (Manny) Hyatt, was born October 17, 1878 near Muscatine, Iowa and passed from this life in the Elmwood Home in Onawa, Iowa on May 1, 1974.

Death came at the age of 96years.

On February 6, 1900. he was united in marriage with Clara Miller at Stockton, Mo. She preceded him in death in December 14, 1964.

Manny served here in Onawa as an Ice Man until his retirement. He had been a resident of Onawa since 1911.

Survivors include his four daughters, Mrs. George (Margueretia) Mansfield of Sioux City, Iowa; Mrs. Irene Heisler; Mrs. Clarice Davis and Mrs. Frank (Mary) Hopkins all of Onawa; two
sons, Alvin K. (Boss) of Onawa and Burtis of Waubin, Minn. There are twenty six grandchildren, seventy seven great grandchildren and thirty one great great grandchildren.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 1974 at Pearson Funeral Chapel in Onawa with Rev. Everett E. Epperson officiating. Mrs. Clara Kelley was organist. Bearers were Dan W. Hyatt, Alvin J. Hyatt, Gordon Hopkins, Herbert Davis, Arthur Heisler, and Fred Heisler. Interment was in the Graceland Cemetery at Blencoe with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home of Onawa.
