3 October 1971Mrs. Clyde Patterson, 90, Sloan, died Friday at an Onawa, Iowa, hospital.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Christian Church at Sloan. Minister Everett E. Epperson will officiate. Burial will be in the Willow Township Cemetery at Holly Springs under direction of the Wood Funeral Home of Sloan.
Pallbearers will be Mike, David and Phillip Patterson, Roger Gay, Norman Westergaard and Kenneth Chicone.
Mrs. Patterson, the former Minerva Lucinda Abel, was born Feb. 22, 1881, in Missouri. She was married Dec. 3, 1908, in Sioux City. She lived in the Sloan area most of her life.
Survivors include the widower; three sons, Clarence of Salix, Lester of Sloan and Louis of Covina, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Lynn (Murle) Larson of Sloan; a brother, Charles of Sloan; three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Ashworth of Sloan, Mrs. Ruth Worley of Sioux City and Mrs. Bertha Rysdan; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
