Nancy Eleanor (Gray) Marnell, age 83, of Onawa, Iowa went to be with her Lord, at 1:07 P.M. Thursday, December 10th, 2020 at Elmwood Care Centre, Onawa, Iowa.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the Rush Family Chapel, Onawa, Iowa with Evangelist Dale Wolf officiating. (Social distancing measures must be followed-Due to Covid- 19 restrictions- Masks are required.) Burial will follow in the Hite Cemetery, Whiting, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.

Nancy, a resident of Onawa, Iowa, was born at Council Bluffs, Iowa, the daughter of John R. and Eunice E. (Pruett) Gray on July 24th, 1937.

Nancy was baptized into the body of our Lord Jesus Christ at the Pentecostal Church in Onawa, Iowa, in 1949 at the age of 12.

Nancy attended school at Onawa, Mapleton, and Holly Springs.

As a young woman, Nancy worked at Charlies Restaurant on Lewis Blvd (next to the old Economy Market) where she met her husband Roy. She married Roy George Marnell on Oct 3rd, 1956, in Minnesota.

Nancy and Roy lived in Sioux City for several years before moving to Whiting, Iowa, in the late 1970's. Nancy remained in Whiting for several years and moved to Onawa, Iowa, shortly after the passing of her husband Roy.

Nancy and Roy were blessed with eight children; Rhonda and John Landreneau of Sulphur, LA, Brenda and Larry Poole of Tracy, CA, Christine and the late Edwards Anderson of LeMars, IA, Roy and Lisa Marnell of Blencoe, IA, Harold and Ronelle of Smithland, IA, David Marnell of Turin, IA, Zachary Marnell of Jacksonville, FL, and Infant child Alvin Marnell (passed).

Nancy and Roy were blessed with 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Nancy’s siblings include; James M. Gray and wife Barbara of Sioux City, Iowa, Alvin L. Gray and wife Betty of Whiting, Iowa, and Patricia M. Gigaroa and husband Ernest of Salix, Iowa.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Roy George Marnell; and an infant son, Alvin L. Marnell; parents, John R. Gray and Eunice E. Gray; and a brother, John David Gray.
