16 December 2020Luanna Sue Gray, 67, of Onawa, Iowa passed away Sunday December 6, 2020 at CHI Creighton University Medical Center – Bergan Mercy, Omaha, Nebraska.
A Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 10, 2020 at the Rush Family Chapel, Onawa, Iowa with Evangelist Dale Wolf officiating. (Social distancing measures must be followed-Due to Covid- 19 restrictions- Masks are required.) Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.
Luanna Sue was born June 8, 1953 in Mapleton, Iowa the daughter of Robert Ray Bridgeman, Sr. and Elsie Irene (Pauley). She grew up in Mapleton, Iowa and attended school there.
Luanna Bridgeman and Edwin Charles Gray, Sr. were united in marriage December 18, 1971 in Danbury, Iowa. Edwin passed away January 26, 2015.
She worked as a CNA for several years at Willow Dale Care Center in Battle Creek, Iowa, Maple Heights Nursing Home in Mapleton, Iowa, and Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa, Iowa. She cared for many residents and truly loved doing her job as a CNA.
She enjoyed visiting with friends and family over coffee, and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She loved going for car rides, watching lifetime on T.V., and shopping for purses. Luanna collected angels and dolls and cherished everyone of them.
Survivors include her children, Edwin Gray, Jr. of Onawa, Iowa, Travis Gray of Mapleton, Iowa, Wesley Gray of Onawa, Iowa; grandchildren, Samantha (Eric) Shaleen, Edwin (Ashley) Gray III, Thad Gray, Jaycee Gray, Ethan Gray, Terrance (Zena) Gray, Jersey Gray, Miles Gray, and Braeley Gray; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Charles Shaleen, Xavier Heilig, Matthew Shaleen, and Emmie Shaleen; mother-in-law, Betty Gray of Onawa, Iowa; step mother, Mary Berry of Mapleton, Iowa; brother, Bob (Bonnie) Bridgeman of Mapleton, Iowa; sister, Betty (Richard) Gray of Blencoe, Iowa; sister-in-law, Cathy (Rob) Huntley of Whiting, Iowa; three brothers-in-law, Kerry Gray of Ida Grove, Iowa, Kenny Gray of Turin, Iowa, and Michael Gray of Clarinda, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin C. Gray Sr.; parents, Robert and Elsie Bridgeman; daughter, Angie S. (Gray Palmer) Marlin; father-in-law, Donald H. Gray; and brother-in-law, Donald R. Gray.
