21 October 2020John F. Allen, 56, of Onawa, Iowa passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 at his residence.
Private Family Memorial Services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.
John was born September 12, 1964 in Council Bluffs, Iowa the son of Mervin Allen and Eilene (Kelly) Allen. He attended school at West Harrison.
John married Sue Meyers on September 8, 1984 in Pisgah, Iowa. To this union three children were born.
He worked for Little Sioux Inter County Drainage District and was a big equipment operator. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, and grilling.
Survivors include his three sons, Adam (Jessica) Allyn of Denison, Iowa, Matt Allyn of Missouri Valley, Iowa, and Jacob Allyn of Blencoe, Iowa; grandchildren, Brandon Allyn, Colin Allyn, Charlotte Allyn, and Hazel Allyn; his mother, Eilene Allyn of River Sioux, Iowa; brother, Billy (Cindy) Allen of Blencoe, Iowa; and sister, Sharon (Randy) Davis of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Jerry, Donald, Paul, Richard, Aaron Allen, father, Mervin Allen; and step father, Gene Allyn.
