12 February 2020Michael “Mike” D. Clemon, 67, of Soldier, Iowa passed away Saturday, February 08, 2020 at his residence.
A memorial service will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at the Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, Iowa with Darren Goslar officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Decatur, Nebraska. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.
Michael Dean Clemon was born February 11, 1952 in Onawa, Iowa the son of Gordon Bruce and Ruth Amanda (Jensen) Clemon. He graduated from East Monona High School.
Michael worked for several years at the feed store in Soldier, Iowa and he drove truck for D.R. Anderson for many years.
He enjoyed celebrating with family on the 4th of July at Gorham’s Dam near Soldier, Iowa. He also enjoyed flying with long time friend, John Gramke.
Mike was a member of the Soldier Lutheran Church, Soldier, Iowa.
Survivors include his children, Clint (Kim) Clemon of Wahoo, NE, Tara Clemon of Soldier, IA, and Krystal Clemon of Sioux Rapids, IA; eleven grandchildren; sister, Barb Johnson of Soldier, IA; sister-in-law, Vicky Clemon of Soldier, IA; and several nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Ruth (Jensen) Clemon; daughter, Amanda Pulkrabek; sister, Patti Miller; brother, Dennis Clemon; and brother-in-law, Tony Johnson.
