Former Albaton Mother Is Called

Friends and near ones were greatly surprised to hear of the sudden' death of Mrs. Ellen Keplinger (nee Ellen Solien) who died at Sioux City, October 3, from cerebral hemorrhage. Mrs. Keplinger is well known in the Albaton and Sloan' community, having spent her childhood there. She was born at Albaton, July 8, 1893, being 38 years 3 months old at the time of her death. She was baptized and confirmed at the Lutheran Church at Albaton. On December 31, 1914 she was united in marriage to C. M. Keplinger.

Besides a host of friends and relatives she leaves to mourn her loss her husband and four children, Lorraine, Vincomb, Leonard, and Betty Jane. One son, Milton, preceded her, in death fifteen years, and three others in infancy. She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Emma Solien, six sisters, Mrs. T. A. Johnson, Elk Point, S. D., Mrs. Glenn Allen, Onawa, Iowa, Mrs. Carl Olson, Mrs. Edna Friis, Mrs. David Lofshult, Sloan, la., and Marguerite Solien of Sioux City, la.; three brothers, Herby, Edgar and Everett Solien, all of Sloan.

Services were conducted by Rev. O. B. Anderson, pastor of the Onawa and Albaton Lutheran church. A short service was held at the home at 2:00 P. M. and from the Skien Lutheran church at 2:30 P. M. on Monday afternoon, October 5th.

The Hilts Funeral Home of Sloan were in charge. "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life he that believeth on Me, though he die, yet shall he live. John” 11:25.
