Albertina Johnson, was born at Linkoping, Östergötland, Sweden on December 7, 1854 and departed this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mrs. Oscar Erickson of Sloan on August 18, 1931, following a lingering illness of several months, Age 78 years, 8 months and 11 days.

She came to America October 14, 1881 and has resided in Monona County since that time.

In 1881 she was united in marriage to August Abrahamson who passed away January 29, 1919. To this happy union were born the following children: Mrs. Ellen Erickson, John David, who died in infancy, Mrs. Anna Brooks, who passed away March 3, 1927, Elmer Abrahamson, Mrs. Clara Worrell and Mrs. Nellis Bergstrom all residing near Onawa, excepting Mrs. Ellen Erickson who lives near Sloan.

She also leaves to mourn her death one brother, Andrew Johnson of Oakland, Nebr., and 14 grandchildren besides many friends.

Mrs. Abrahamson was confirmed in the Swedish Lutheran Church on the year 1869 and was loyal to her Christ and a believer in this faith throughout the years. She had remained conscious and bright in mind until the last and passed away as if in a peaceful sleep.

She was a good wife and mother and a friend to all in need. A short service was held at the Erickson home Thursday at 1:45 and the regular service at the Christian Church in Onawa at 2:30. Rev. Orval E. Walker, pastor of the Christian Church officiating.
