One by one the early pioneers of the state are being called on that last journey - six grandsons act as pallbearers. This week we chronicle the passing of another of those good women, who lived her entire life in Western Iowa. Mrs. Mary O'Connor passed away at the Deering hospital on last Friday evening. Funeral services were held at the home on this Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The sermon was preached by Rev. Orval Walker, pastor of her church. Burial was made in the Onawa cemetery. Six grandsons served as pallbearers, Mrs. Walter Plinske sang and scores of beautiful floral tributes were banked about her casket. Despite the inclement weather, many of her old friends and neighbors attended the services. Following is the obituary read by Rev. Mr. Walker: Mary Ann Davis was born near Hamburg, Iowa, May 8, 1864 and was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Davis. She moved with her parents, to Monona County when a small child.
