Donna Marie (Armstrong) Lee, 71, of Moorhead, Iowa passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Dunlap Specialty Care, Dunlap, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday, May 30, 2019 at the Moorhead Christian Church in Moorhead, Iowa with Pastor Jim Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Soldier Valley Cemetery, Pisgah, Iowa. Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 29, 2019 with a prayer service at 6:30 P.M. at the Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.

Donna Marie was born on September 17, 1947 in Pisgah, Iowa the daughter of Walter and LaVonne (Heistand) Armstrong. She grew up in the Moorhead, Soldier, and Pisgah areas. She graduated from West Monona High School.

Donna and Duane Allen Lee were united in marriage on June 20, 1968. To this union three sons and a daughter were born, Terry, Richard, David, and Sjonia.

She traveled with her husband in the military for two years. She worked for QAT in Soldier, Iowa and the Medicine Chest in Onawa, Iowa. After retirement she became a stay at home grandma, watching her grandkids. In her spare time, Donna loved to garden. She had a mini horse “April” that she loved to take care of. Donna was always up to going to family gatherings and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Duane Lee of Moorhead, IA; her two sons, Richard Lee of Moorhead, IA and David Lee of Blair, NE; her daughter, Sjonia (Roger) Davis of Moorhead, IA; grandchildren, Geanna Davis and Austin Davis of Moorhead, IA; sister, Crystal (Vern) Lee of Soldier, IA; brother, Dale (Linda) Armstrong of Moorhead, IA; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and LaVonne Armstrong; son, Terry Lee; brother, Dennis Armstrong; sister-in-law, Evlyn (Parr) Armstrong; and nephew, Chuck Armstrong.
