Wanda Marquerite Hime, daughter of Everett and Ruth (Heath) Folsom, was born on December 8, 1933, in Onawa, Iowa, and passed away on March 31, 2019, in Fountain Valley, California, with her family at her side.

A memorial service will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, June 15, 2019, at the Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, Iowa, with Deacon Joe Scurlock officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Blencoe, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.

She grew up in Onawa and graduated with the Onawa High School class of 1952. In March of 1954 she married Robert (Bob) Hime and for the next sixty-five years supported him faithfully in their pursuit of life's adventure. During that time, she brought into this world four wonderful children whom she loved and nurtured into successful adults. They are Jan Hime of Wahoo, NE, Denise Leger of Huntington Beach, CA, Sydney Hime of Jefferson City, MO and Robert J. Hime of Odessa, MO. She was the beloved "Nana" of nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom she showered with loving attention.

Her family was her life. Her love and energy made every family gathering a feast of food, fun and joy. In addition to her "clan" she is survived by her brother Leo Folsom of Paducah, KY, sisters Marylou Carrol of Cedar Hills, UT and Inagene Bonanno of West Hills, CA, brother-in-law Jerry (Gerry) Hime of Huntington Beach and sister-in-law Merry (Laverne) Cordes of Nevada, IA. Wanda loved to play bridge, listen to Elvis, shop on Amazon and participate in her family’s antics at her house on the Lake of the Ozarks. She was unmatched as a generous, loving mother, wife and Nana who was always ready to do for others before herself. She was truly loved by many and her passing leaves an empty place in all of our lives. God will enjoy having her with Him.
