Donald Roy Gray, 56, Whiting, Iowa died Monday, May 5, 2008 at his home.

Donald Roy Gray was born January 31, 1952 at Pisgah, Iowa, the son of Donald H. and Betty (Heistand) Gray. As six months of age, Donnie contracted polio and began his long struggle in life.

Donald and Anna Kluver were united in marriage January 24,1976 and were blessed with four sons: Joey, Donnie Lee, Bennie and Erick. He had various jobs working on farms, worked at Westendorf Mfg. Co., Clark Ready Mix and also drove truck for Harding Trucking until his health forced his retirement.

He loved the timbers, riding horses, hunting, fishing and even helping the neighbors bale hay. Donald enjoyed woodworking, caring for plants, cooking and barbequing. He looked forward to his families visits and prepared special dishes for them.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his mother, Betty of Onawa; his sons, Joey (Carrie) of Onawa, Donnie Lee (Gina) of Ute, IA, Bennie of Sioux City, IA and Erick (Ashley) of LeMars, IA; eleven grandchildren, Zach, Shania, Gavin, Nolan, Hunter, Parker, Tyler, Leighla, Kaylea, Taylor, Trenton, and another one expected in July; a sister, Cathy Huntley (Robb) of Whiting: brothers, Ed (Luanna) of Onawa, Dick (Betty) of Ute, Kerry of Ida Grove, IA, Ken of Turin, IA and Mickey of Ida Grove, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father.

A memorial service was held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Rush Family Chapel, Onawa, Iowa with Steven Comstock , speaker. Music selections were "God's Promise of Paradise" and "Life Without End". There was no visitation.

Honorary bearers were Jody, James and Jennifer Huntley, Eddie, Travis, Wesley, Angie, Kyle, James, Erin, Brett, Brittany and Seth Gray, Brad Poole and Layla Duffy.
