Steve N. Reynolds, 61, Onawa, Iowa died Monday, October 18, 2004 at a Sioux City hospital.

Steve was born October 17, 1943 in Onawa, Iowa, the son of Edward and Helen (Neal) Reynolds. He was raised in Onawa and graduated from Onawa High School in 1962 and later attended Morningside College, for a year. He married Anna Green February 29, 1964 and was later divorced.

He was employed with the City of Onawa Water Department and later with O'Neill's in Onawa.

He was a member of First Christian Church in Onawa. Steve was an avid sportsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. During high school he was an outstanding football and track member and won the State of Iowa 4x4 Relay in 1961.

Survivors include his children, Kim Mallett of Sioux City, Kirk and his wife Jodie Reynolds of Smithland, IA, Angela Reynolds of Sioux City and Sara Linder of Omaha, NE; nine grandchildren; a great grandson; a brother, Bill and his wife Phyllis Reynolds of Onawa; five sisters, Jeanette and her husband Ray Yates of Ogden, UT, Vivian and her husband Don Randall of Westerville, OH, Beulah and her husband Leonard Miller, Mary and her husband Joe Kramer and Nancy Schallau all of Onawa; and several nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was, preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Richard "Dick" and his wife Naomi Reynolds and a brother-in-law, John Schallau.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 21, 2004 at Rush Family Chapel in Onawa with Rev. Dennis Olsen officiating. Music selections were organ solo "In The Garden", congregational singing, "Amazing Grace" and "Go Rest High On That Mountain" with Ann Phillips, organist. Burial was in Onawa Cemetery. Visitation was from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Casket bearers were Dan Webster, Gary O'Neill, John Schafer, Roger Lund, Brad Miller and Nick Sorenson.
