Janet L. Leisinger, 64, of Onawa, Iowa died Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Burgess Health Center in Onawa, Iowa.

Memorial services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at the Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, Iowa with Evangelist Dale Wolf officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Valley Cemetery, rural Moorhead, Iowa. Visitation will be 9:00 A.M. until service time Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at the Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.

Janet Lynn was born August 21, 1954 in Onawa, Iowa the daughter of William and Pearl (Jacobs) Bonnes. She grew up in Onawa and graduated from West Monona High School.

Janet and Kent Leisinger were united in marriage in 1988 at the Gaukel Park in Onawa by Reverend Everett Epperson.

Janet worked at the Happy Chef Restaurant in Onawa for several years and at the Blencoe, Iowa truck stop which was a gas station and restaurant.

Janet enjoyed going dancing and attending rodeos. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Janet is survived by her husband, Kent Leisinger of Onawa, Iowa; two sons, Patrick Leisinger of Missouri Valley, Iowa, and Charles (Elizabeth) Leisinger of Onawa, Iowa; one granddaughter, Margaret Leisinger of Onawa, Iowa; brother, George Bonnes of Onawa, Iowa; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Pearl (Jacobs) Bonnes; two brothers, Larry Bonnes and Dennis Bonnes; and two sisters-in-law, Roma Bonnes and Jennifer Bonnes.
