OBITUARY

Dorthea Noethlich, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Regis, was born on March 26, 1874 at Lyons, Iowa and died on May 18, 1969 at the Maple Heights Nursing Home having reached the age of 95 years, one month and 22 days.

She came to Mapleton with her parents as a young girl. She was married to Ferdinand Noethlich on December 21, 1892 in Soldier Township. Mr. Noethlich died in 1944.

Mr. Noethlich was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran church at Ute and member of Ladies Aid.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Minnie Robinson of Ute; three sons, Henry of Mapleton, Leonard of Ute and Herbert of San Bernardino, California; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, and one grandson.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 20, 1969 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Ute, Iowa with Pastor E. T. Lange officiating. Burial was in St. Clair Cemetery at Ute, Iowa.
Pallbearers were: Chris Steen, Lewis Sander, Glenn Chedester, Roy Borcherdt, Clarence Riley and Dow Chedester.
