OBITUARY

Mrs. Margaret Rohde ws born July 16 1870 at Lyons, Ill., and died Monday, June 23 at the age of 87 years, 11 months and seven days at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Anna Clausen at Ricketts. Mrs. Rohde had gone to Ricketts about three weeks ago.

She was married to Claus Rohde Feb. 24, 1892 at Onawa. They resided on a farm near Mapleton until 1920 when they retired and moved to Mapleton. Mr. Rohde preceded her in death in 1948.

Mrs. Rohde was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran church and the Ladies Aid society.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Anna Clauen of Ricketts and Mrs. Alvina Reitz of Cushing; two sons, Emil and Walter Rohde, both of Mapleton, two sisters, Mrs. Dora Noethlich of Ute and Mrs. Elizabeth Rohde of Mapleton; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Matthew's Lutheran church with Rev. E. E. Greene officiating.

Pallbearers were Richard Rohde, Leonard Rohde, Robert Rohde, Frederick Schoenfeld, Clarence Reitz and Lawrence Reitz. Burial was in the Soldier township cemetery under direction of the Walter funeral service.
