Marcia Elaine Steinbach, 84, of Bullhead City, formerly of Mapleton, passed away peacefully on Oct. 27, 2018, in Bullhead City, after a short battle with cancer.
Graveside services will be at a later date in Mount Hope Cemetery, Mapleton.
Marcia was born on Oct. 17, 1934, the daughter of Otto and Frieda Krumm. She grew up in Jefferson, Iowa.
On July 13, 1952, she married Robert Dreher. They had three children. She graduated from Northwest Missouri State with a degree in elementary education. She lived in Mapleton from 1968 to 1986 and taught at Maple Valley until 1981, when she retired. She married Raymond "Pete" Steinbach on May 27, 1977, and immediately welcomed three more children into her family. They had 41 years of adventures together and were fortunate enough to spend the last 31 enjoying retirement in Arizona.
Marcia had many talents. She was a skilled seamstress and painter and enjoyed performing. The highlight of her year was performing a stand-up comedy routine at the Riverside Resort's annual talent night, where she was the hit of the show. She was a regular at Bunco, Bingo and enjoyed hosting friends near and far.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Pete; her children, Bobbie Dreher (Barry Yenkala) of Bullhead City, John (Gilda) Dreher of Saylor, Okla., Dawn (Brad) Baldwin of Bronson Iowa, Eric Steinbach (Lisa Thornhill) of Marysville, Wash., Perry (Gail) Steinbach of Tulalip, Wash., and Peter (Michelle) Steinbach of Sioux City; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and many cousins and friends including her dear friends, Jay and Bernie Haberl.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a great-grandson, Leo Raymond Steinbach.
