Hazel Chisholm Was the Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I.C. McMaster.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Grace McMaster Chisholm, former resident of Ute, were held Wednesday, December 7, at 2 o’clock in Yakima, Washington, with the Rev. D.W. Ferry officiating. Mrs. Chisholm died Saturday evening, December 3, in her home on Summit View.

Mrs. Chisholm graduated from the Onawa High School and had the honor of being the first female member of an OHS debate squad.

Mrs. Chisholm was born in Ute on April 25, 1894. She moved from Onawa to Yakima and was married in March 1921, to Dr. Chisholm and had lived in Yakima since.

Besides the widower, the family includes one son, James Gillington Chisholm, age 9; a brother, A.A. McMaster, of Portland, five sisters, Mrs. Andrew Hoffman, of Onawa, Iowa, Mrs. James Byers of Sloan, Iowa, Mrs. Lowell Palmer of Mapleton, Iowa, Mrs. Robert Wiedman of Placerville, California and Mrs. Paul Nelson of Kellog, Idaho.

Mrs. Chisholm was a member of the Presbyterian Church, the Philathea Sunday School Class, the Order of Eastern Star and the Pan Joy Club. She had resided in Yakima the past 17 years.
