Harold A. Seieroe 1923 – 1985

Ute, Iowa—Harold A. Seieroe, 62, of Ute died Wednesday at his home in Ute of an apparent heart attack.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Walter Funeral Home in Mapleton. The Rev. James Gubser will officiate. Burial will be in St. Clair Cemetery in Ute. A prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. today in the Walter Funeral Home in Ute.

Mr. Seieroe was born March 11, 1923, at Dunlap and was raised in the Dunlap community. From 1940 until 1943 he worked on the Alcan Highway. He married Irene Lintin December 23, 1945, at Mapleton. They lived at Holly Springs where he was a heavy equipment operator and also farmed. In 1971 they moved to Ute where he was employed by Roy Johnston, Lloyd Olson and Barney Barnett as a heavy equipment operator. The last two years he and his son operated Dale’s Gun Shop in Ute.

Survivors include his wife, one son, Dale of Ute; his mother, Etta Seieroe of Ute; four brothers, Elmer of Colfax, Leonard and Wesley, both of Ute and Tom of Sac City; one sister, Charlotte Behmer of Clear Lake, and two granddaughters.
