Goldie Ellen Terry, 92, of Whiting, Iowa, formerly of Onawa, Iowa, died on Monday July 4, 2005, at Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting.

Goldie was born August 1, 1912, at Missouri Valley, Iowa, the daughter of Robert M. and Minnie (McClure) Blunt. She graduated from Little Sioux (Iowa) High School. On June 10, 1932, she married Eldon E. Terry at Missouri Valley, Iowa. They lived in Little Sioux, Iowa, until moving to Onawa in 1951. Mr. Terry died April 6, 1998, in Onawa.

She was baptized in the First Christian Church in Little Sioux, Iowa, and was an active member of the First Christian Church in Onawa since 1952. She was a past member of the Else Rebekah Lodge #222 in Onawa and Past President of the Onawa Chapter of the G.A.R.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Larry and Judy Terry of Bowling Green, Kentucky; a daughter - in - law, Margaret "JoAnn" Stodden of Sioux City, Iowa; four grandchildren, Frank Terry and wife, Lisa of Onawa, David and Michael Terry of Dallas, Texas, and Steven Terry of Bryan, Texas; six great - grandchildren, Jason, Miah, Luke, Zach, Jenny, and Morgan; three great - great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eldon; 1 son, Dwight; a granddaughter, Cindy; 2 sisters Edith Caldwell of Little Sioux and Ruth Alton of Little Sioux; and 1 brother, Elmer Blunt of Onawa.

Funeral Services were held at 2 P.M Thursday July 7, 2005, at the First Christian Church, Onawa, Iowa, with Pastor Dennis A. Olsen officiating. The organist was Ruth Jordan and the soloist, Patty Gibson, sang "Amazing Grace".

Casket bearers were Luke Terry, Miah Terry, David Terry, Zach Terry, Jason Terry and Michael Terry.

Interment was in Soldier Valley Cemetery, Pisgah, Iowa, with arrangements by Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa
