Jennifer "Jen" L. Richardson, 45, of Onawa, Iowa died Monday, March 19, 2018.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Soldier Lutheran Church, Soldier, Iowa with Pastor Shari Schwedhelm, officiating. Burial will be in Jordan Cemetery, rural Soldier, Iowa. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, March 22, 2018 with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.

Jennifer Le Ann Richardson was born March 24, 1972 in Sioux City, Iowa the daughter of Robert and Edna (Christiansen) Jensen. She grew up on a farm near Castana, Iowa and graduated from Maple Valley High School in Mapleton, IA with the class of 1990. Jen enjoyed and was very active in 4-H.

Jen attended Stewarts School of Hairstyling in Sioux City, IA and received her cosmetology license. She owned a shop in Soldier for several years and also worked at various shops in Sioux City, including: Sport Clips, Regis, and Master Cuts.

Jen enjoyed shopping at consignment shops, scrapbooking, and gardening. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Jen was a member of the Soldier Lutheran Church where she served on the Education Board.

Survivors include her children, Aaron (fiancé, Catarena Hall) Richardson of Onawa, IA, Evan Richardson of Sioux City, IA, Blake (fiancé, Whitney Carrier) Richardson of Blencoe, IA, Sierra (friend, Sean Utterback) Richardson of Sioux City, IA, and Dawson Richardson of Onawa, IA; grandchildren, Maelyn Richardson, Elyith Richardson, and Wynter Utterback; her mother, Edna Jensen of Castana, IA; brother, Warren (Barb) Jensen of Soldier, IA; sister, Kathy (David Kruse) Jensen of Mapleton, IA; many nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Jensen; and her paternal and maternal grandparents.
