Mrs. Dewey Clark of Rodney dies

Mrs. Dewey (Ada) Clark, age 78, of Rodney, Iowa died at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa, Iowa on September 18, 1979 following a brief illness.

The former Ada Seitzinger, was born at Whiting, Iowa on January 5, 1901 to Lester and Sadie Persinger Seitzinger. On September 3, 1919 she was united in marriage with Dewey Clark and the couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on September 2, 1979. She was a lifelong resident of Monona County.

Ada was a member of the United Methodist Church of Smithland and a 50 year member of Ember Rebecca Lodge #486 of Rodney.

She is survived by her husband, Dewey at home, three sons, Eugene Clark of Santa Fe Springs, California, Duane Clark of Smithland, Iowa and Ronald Clark of Tulsa, Oklahoma and one sister, Mrs. Mary Bouslaugh of Castana, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, an infant daughter and two grandsons.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 1979 at the United Methodist Church, Smithland, Iowa with Rev. Dale Church officiating.

Casket-bearers were Waldo Lundeen, David Mann, Ed Kelly, Norman Parker, Swede Stratton and Leonard Vaught.

Interment was in the Little Sioux Township Cemetery, Smithland, Iowa.
