Soldier, Iowa

Ronald Little, 74, of Soldier, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Soldier Lutheran Church in Soldier. Visitation with the family will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Fouts Funeral Home in Dunlap, Iowa.

Ron was born Sept. 21, 1943, to Lavern and Pearl (Atwell) Little in Blencoe, Iowa. He married Cheryl Melby on Nov. 14, 1965. Ron sold cars for a number of car dealerships including Baxter's and Bob Anderson Ford in Missouri Valley, Iowa. He then owned a gas station in Soldier and also sold cars from there.

Ron is survived by two children, Shelly and David Foss and David and Kristi Little, all of Soldier; two grandchildren, Baylee and Joshua Little; four siblings, Pat Reynolds of Milan, Tenn., Dennis Little of Trenton, Tenn., Gary Little of Georgia, and Vicki and Doug Bonine of Onawa, Iowa; and dear friend, Ralph Balsano.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl.
