Dave Dohe, 57, of Onawa, Iowa, died Monday, September 18, 2017, at his home.
A Celebration of Life will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 22, 2017, at the Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, with Pastor Michael Lewis officiating. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Army, the Monona County VFW Post #2694, and the David McNeill American Legion Post #129 of Onawa. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.
David Roger Dohe was born on April 20, 1960, in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Robert William and Carolyn (Blenden) Dohe. He attended North High School in Omaha.
Following high school, Dave enlisted in the United States Army, and served until his honorable discharge. He then worked various jobs as a general laborer.
Dave married Janet Marie Malone on June 10, 2005, in Onawa.
He enjoyed watching NASCAR and Texas football games.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Dohe of Onawa, IA; two children and their spouses, Mandy and Buford Davila of Cheyenne, WY and Robert and Ashley Dohe of Altus, OK; four grandchildren, Paisley Davila, Myles Davila, Avery Dohe, and Peyton Dohe; four siblings, Cathy (Mark) Troester of Mountain Home, AR, John (Tracy) Dohe of Omaha, NE, Richard Dohe of Onawa, IA, and Kelli (Doug) Brady of Bellevue, NE; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Carolyn Dohe; and one son, Brad Nickelson.
