Moville, Iowa— Bert A Conyers, 79, of Moville died Thursday March 26, 1998 at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the McCulloch Funeral Home in Moville with the Rev. Alex Washington officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Mr. Conyers was born September 31, 1918 in Blencoe, Iowa, the son of George and Jennie (Frisk) Conyers. He attended school in rural Turin, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Army from October 1942, until October 1945. He married Betty Mack on September 28, 1947, in Lincoln, Nebraska. The couple lived in the Turin and Mapleton area until 1967 when they moved to Moville. He farmed most of his life until the late 1980s when he worked at the Marina Inn. He was a member of Wink-Sparks American Legion Post #303.

Survivors include his wife, a son, Robert Andrew of LeMars, Iowa; four daughters, Beatrice Faye Reihe of Houston, Texas, Polly Josephine and her husband, Larry Jenkins of Independence, Mo., Sherry Lynn and her husband, Dwayne Davis of Oak Grove, Missouri and Phyllis Nimmer of Salem, Oregon, four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack and Albert of Onawa, Iowa and three sisters, Ruth Harris of Onawa, Mary Enderson of whiting, Iowa and Doris McCall of Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Ebert and a sister Della Mann.
