Mapleton, Iowa—Special: Funeral services for Hans Soren Albertson, 67, retired Monona County farmer who died Sunday in a Sioux City hospital after a short illness, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Byers-Walter Funeral Home here.

Rev. Adam Rudy of Sioux City will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Clair Cemetery at Ute, Iowa.

Mr. Albertson was born May 20, 1890 in Shelby County, Iowa and moved to Monona County with his parents when a boy. He resided on a farm near Ute until 1928 when the family moved to a farm near Soldier, Iowa. In 1932 the family moved to a farm near Mapleton.

In 1942 Mr. Albertson retired and moved to Mapleton. In 1946 the family moved to Oto but returned in six years to Mapleton.

He married Anna Peterson February 14, 1912 in Sioux City, on April 21, 1946 he married Zella Werling at Elk Point, South Dakota.

Mr. Albertson was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Survivors are the widow, a daughter, Mrs. Gordon Prichard of Castana, Iowa; son, Arwid of San Jose, California; stepdaughter, Mrs. Virgil Craig of Rodney, Iowa, a step-son, Carl Werling of San Antonio and Jerry Werling of Whiting; a brother, A.M. Albertson of Sioux City; sister, Mrs. Lars Christianson of Ute and 11 grandchildren.
