26 January 2017Lloyd "Butch" Myers, Jr., 64, of Onawa, Iowa died Monday, January 16, 2017 at his home in Onawa.
Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, Iowa with Pastor Jim Wilson officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.
Lloyd Duaine "Butch" Myers, Jr. was born June 26, 1952 in Sioux City, Iowa, son of Lloyd Duaine and Donna (Ruchti) Myers, Sr. He graduated from Mapleton High School in 1970.
Lloyd married Wanita Gosch June 4, 1971 in Soldier, Iowa. Two children were born to this union: Elisha and Ken.
He worked at Westendorf Manufacturing in Onawa for 21 years and Sabre Communications in Sioux City for 21 years. He enjoyed softball, fishing, golf, bowling, and camping. He coached baseball for 16 years. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Wanita Myers of Onawa, IA; two children, Elisha (John) Karr of Onawa, IA and Ken (Heather) Myers of Turin, IA; four grandchildren, Kirsten Myers, Matthew Myers, Connor Miller, and Micah Myers; his mother, Donna Myers of Mapleton, IA; one sister, Laura Martz of Charter Oak, IA; and one brother, Bill Robinson of Calumet, IA.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Myers, Sr.; one sister, Loretta Sanderson; and three brothers, Leslie, Loren, and Lowell Myers.
