Lori M. Carter, 56, of Onawa, Iowa died Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Burgess Health Center, Onawa, Iowa.

Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, January 30, 2017 at Ingemann Cemetery, rural Moorhead, Iowa with Pastor Michael Lewis, officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, January 29, 2017 at the Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.

Lori Maxine was born September 3, 1960 in Onawa, Iowa the daughter of Curt and Delores (Clark) Madsen. She grew near Manly, Iowa and Moorhead, Iowa and later attended school in Onawa, Iowa.

Lori and Marc Rowland were united in marriage in 1976. Two daughters were born to this union, Amy and Betsy. Lori later married Ronald L. "Frog" Carter in 2001.

Lori worked for many years at Stangel Pharmacy in Onawa, Iowa as a Pharmacy Technician.

Lori enjoyed gardening and especially loved being a grandmother who loved to spoil her grandchildren.

Lori is survived by her husband, Ronald L. "Frog" Carter of Onawa, Iowa; two daughters, Amy Rowland of Woodbine, Iowa and Betsy Boynton of Onawa, Iowa; step children, Christy (Jason) Bligh of Blencoe, Iowa, Kandi Carter of Blencoe, Iowa, Tonya Gashe of Onawa, Iowa, and Shane Carter of Sioux City, Iowa; twelve grandchildren, Shawn, Trae, Dylan, Tim, Samantha, Kendra, Darius, Josie, Derek, Jesse James, Bryce, and Chase; one great-grandson; Ayden; her siblings, Dee Ann Samuelson of Manly, Iowa, Brenda Morlan of Onawa, Iowa, Craig (Jody) Madsen of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Mark (Jill) Madsen of Logan, Iowa, and Yovette "Too-Too" Murphy of Mason City, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her father, Curt Madsen; her mother and step-father, Delores and Ed Wolfgram; sister, Debbie Madsen; and two granddaughters, Marissa and Bailey.
