Frances Katherine Parks, 87, Onawa, IA, died Sunday, May 14, 2006 at Burgess Health Center in Onawa.

Frances Katherine was born November 14, 1918, and raised in Raglan Township in Harrison County, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Jean (Larison) Erixon.

She married John Harvey Parks February 24, 1937 at Sidney, Iowa. After retiring from farming in 1975 they moved to Onawa. Harvey passed away February 13, 1999 at Onawa.

Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Rowena and Fred Voss of Derby, KS, and Wanda and Franklin Heisterkamp of Blencoe, IA; ten grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Mae Erixon of Onawa, Lois Erixon of Council Bluffs, and Lillian Withem of Woodbine; one brother-in-law, Robert Withem of Missouri Valley, IA.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Kenneth Dean; five sisters, Alberta Dilley, Erma Bedsaul, Eloise Harter, Gertrude Alexander, and Leta Erixon; three brothers, Carroll Erixon, Walter Erixon, and Louis Erixon; two great grandchildren, Joshua Heisterkamp and Carrie Doud.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at Rush Family Chapel with Elders Donnie and Carolyn Bothwell officiating. Frances grandchildren performed "You Are Mine" and "Surely The Presence Of The Lord". Burial was in Onawa Cemetery. Visitation was from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at Rush Family Chapel. Arrangements were under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa.

Casket bearers were Matthew Voss, David Voss, Timothy Voss, Alan Heisterkamp, Darin Heisterkamp, and Bart Heisterkamp.
