Judith J. Ravnsborg, 64, of Dallas, Texas, and formerly of Turin, Iowa, died at her home May 7, 2006.

Judith was born July 12, 1941, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Ernest E. and Jeanne Jeannette (Moore) Ravnsborg. In 1959 she graduated from Onawa High School, Onawa, Iowa, and then attended the University of Iowa at Iowa City, graduating in 1964. She taught school for 7 years from 1964 to 1970 in Minneapolis and Marion, Iowa, 2 of those years she taught art in Australia. She had made her home in Dallas since 1970 and was President of Political Research, Inc. and designer and researcher of 'Texas Flying The Colors", a look at the 254 counties of Texas.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Ray Kumor; 2 nephews, Marty and Ryan Kumor, all of Elizabeth, Illinois; an aunt, Vivian Ravnsborg of Turin, Iowa, and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services were held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2006, at the Pearson Funeral Chapel, Onawa, Iowa, with Pastor Charles Layton officiating. The organist was Mrs. Jack Jordan and the congregational hymns were 'The Old Rugged Cross" and "How Great Thou Art".
Casket Bearers were Ray Kumor, Martin Kumor, Ryan Kumor, Dick Whiteman, Jerry Ravnsborg, and Richard Ravnsborg.

Interment was in Belvidere Cemetery, Turin, Iowa, with arrangements by Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa.
