Doris M. Wagner, 92, of Onawa, Iowa passed away December 6, 2016 at Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting, Iowa.

Memorial services will be 11:30 A.M. Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, Iowa with Pastor Harvey Hanson officiating. A private family burial will be in Belvidere Cemetery, Turin, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.

Doris was born November 17, 1924 in Moorhead, Iowa to Chris and Inga (Bakkene) Hanson.
Doris and Carl "Bud" Wagner were united in marriage on August 23, 1941 in Ponca, Nebraska. The couple lived on a farm near Turin, Iowa for 45 years before moving to Onawa, Iowa in 1977. Bud passed away on December 19, 1986.

She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Bennett Nursing Home in Turin and the Moss Custodial Home in Onawa. She later volunteered at the Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa.

She was a lifetime member of the Daughters of the American Revolution Martha Washington Chapter 54 of Sioux City, Iowa. She was also a member of the David McNeill American Legion Auxiliary Post #129 of Onawa and of the First Christian Church in Onawa.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Anita Wagner of Broomfield, CO; three grandchildren and their spouses; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl "Bud" Wagner; son, Bill Wagner; grandson, Steve Wagner; six brothers; and three sisters.
