Died at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. J.C. Prentice in Paota, Union county KS, 5Feb1900, Louis Schwerdfager aged 81 years, 3 months and 18 days. The deceased was a resident of Onawa and Monona county from 1865 to 14Mar1899, when he removed to Kansas to reside with his daughters, Rose and Mary. His wife survives him.
