Terry Ruffcorn, 66, of Onawa, Iowa passed peacefully at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, IA on Thursday, October 27, 2016 following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the Faith Lutheran Church in Onawa, Iowa with Vicar Shari Schwedhelm, officiating. Burial will be in the Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.

Terrence "Terry" Lee was born April 18, 1950 in Onawa, IA, the son of Clark and Marjorie (Lee) Ruffcorn. He attended West Monona High School in Onawa, graduating in 1968. After attending college in Ottumwa and Estherville, Iowa, Terry worked for the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, working in Onawa, Pierre SD, and Omaha. After leaving the Corps he was employed by his good friend and tennis partner, Jim Stangel, at Stangel Pharmacy in Onawa.

Terry's interests included sports, reading, music, and playing cards. Terry loved being with all his family, especially his five nephews and two nieces, whom he loved and adored. He participated in baseball, track, and cross country in High School, and in tennis and bowling throughout his life. In later years his life was centered around caring for his aging parents and his Uncle, Myrlin Lee.

He will be greatly missed by his surviving relatives: brothers, Mitch (Mary) Ruffcorn of Bettendorf, IA, and Keith (Jodie) Ruffcorn of Waterloo, IA; and sister, Marlene (Tom) Furne of Omaha, NE; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Casket bearers will be Terry's nieces and nephews, Aaron Ruffcorn, Anne Terranova, Alex Ruffcorn, Jake Ruffcorn, Ashley Anderson, Ryan Furne, and honorary casket bearer, Benjamin Ruffcorn.
